January Events at the Harbor

Happy New Year! What’s going on at the Harbor in January? Here are some of the things  we have planned and we would love to have you come join us for! (For a listing of our weekly events and meetings, click here.)

Friday, January 6 – First Friday Flicks
Welcome to something new at the Harbor – Every first Friday night of the month, we will host a movie night on the dock, beginning at 8pm. This month, we’ll be watching “The Pursuit of Happyness”. Come out and join us, grab some popcorn, and enjoy a movie and friends at the Harbor!

Sunday, January 8 – New Sunday morning series: “Identity”
Want to know more about us as a church? Curious about what we believe and who we are? We will be beginning a new series, starting January 8, called “Identity”, and will be walking through some of the key points of what we are about and what we believe as the Harbor Church of the Nazarene. Services begin at 10:30 on Sunday mornings.

Sunday, January 8 – Harbor 5K
This is the second of the 5K series we’re having over the winter – each on the second Sunday of the month in December, January, and February. For more information on January’s 5K or to sign up, click here. If you are interested in February’s 5K, you can click here.

Saturday, January 14 – Book Study Begins: “The Shack”
Beginning on January 14th, and then on Saturday nights following, we will be reading and discussing the book “The Shack” by Wm. Paul Young. These sessions will begin at 7pm at the Harbor, and will continue on until we have finished the book, at which point, we will plan another. If you plan on being a part of this, figure on reading through the first 5 chapters by January 14. (After the first week, the pace will slow down) Come out and join us for some thought provoking discussion!
